The Story of Usuf Salam
Traveler. Digital Nomad. Philosopher at Core.
Origins in Mecca
Born and raised in the Arabian Peninsula, in Mecca -the origin city of Prophet Muhammad and the founder of Islam. The cradle of Arabic language and Islamic philosophy shaped my earliest understanding of words and their profound meanings.
Palestinian Roots
Originally from Palestine, the olive tree is part of my blood. In 2013, I moved with my family to my father's hometown -a small village at the core heart of the country. Centered between Nahariya on the northern coast bordering Lebanon, and the south where Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan meet.
Not far from Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified. Not far from Nazareth where Jesus was brought to life. This land, where prophets walked and civilizations were born, is where my connection to language deepened.
The Journey of Discovery
I discovered my passion for language and philosophy during my travels. I found myself deeply immersed in questions about words and their meanings -how a single Arabic word can carry centuries of wisdom, how dialects tell stories of migration and trade, how Fusha connects over 400 million Arabic speakers across the world.
Philosophy in DNA
Our family in Palestine is strongly connected to philosophy and science. I have it in my DNA. My view of the world is unique -shaped by the crossroads of cultures, religions, and languages that define this region.
Through travel, yoga practice, and continuous learning, I've developed an approach to teaching Arabic that goes beyond grammar -it's about understanding the soul of the language.
